Bardolino
Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara
A light well known Italian red from the Verona region
Italy, Bardolino, Bardolino, Sartori, DOC, 2013

Introduction
Just northwest from Verona, named after the town of Bardolino, situated on the shores of Lake Garda. This wine from Sartori is a Bardolino, not Classico; two different regions that are right next to each other. Bardolino is made from mostly Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes, allowing still a little of other types under the DOC, which is dated from 1968.

Sartori di Verona is the producer, based in Negrar, right in the middle of the neighbouring Valpolicella Classico wine area. From its vineyard in 1898, the family company grew continuously, with the Verona region at heart, accelerated further after the second World War. Cooperation in the 90’s with another commune’s winery, Colognola ai Colli, forms the basis of the current business, sharing production, marketing and more, now also with a few interests outside its traditional region of Verona.
