Visiting English Vineyards

On a sunny day in late June we went on our tour of a few vineyards in East Sussex, just driving around and see who was open.

First visited the Ridgeview Wine Estate, Ditchling Common, a modern set up, with a tasting room on the first floor, overlooking the vineyards. The fire pots were still out!

Then drove onto the Bolney Wine Estate, Bolney, where we had a lunch on the balcony, overlooking the vineyard. The ladies had a glass of their red, quite tasty. The facility is set up for lunches, tours and such like, as well as with a well stocked shop, full of wine. Not the cheapest mind.

We finished at the lovely Nutbourne Vineyards, nr. Pulborough, driving on the lane, into the heart of the grounds. Sampling the various wines in the old windmill and the hosting of the tasting at Nutbourne was well done, relaxed and informative. Got a few whites and enjoyed them the next day in the garden, in the sunshine.

However, next time I need to get another person to drive the car!!
